Get a Strong, Dense Lawn!
Overseeding is the spreading of Bermuda seed over an already existing lawn with a goal of strengthening, thickening, and increasing the density of the entire lawn. Overseeding is not to be used for bare spots or lawns in need of new sod. Overseedings are most productive when started during the early spring (March/April) and throughout months as the seeds have time to take root and germinate for a thick, green lawn during the spring and summer months.
Benefits of Overseeding
- Increased density to the lawn and a higher quality appearance
- Improvement in seasonal transitions from harsh summer and winter conditions to speed recovery of the lawn
- A denser, more strengthened lawn reduces the chance of weed seed germination within the lawn
- Seeded Bermuda grass is generally more tolerant to the stresses applied to the lawn such as insects, extreme heat/cold, and droughts.
